J B Thorne Limited was founded in 1948 by an experienced Dust Control Engineer, John Bertram Thorne, and initially based its business on supplying extraction equipment to the local shoe trade. From these modest beginnings the Company has grown to the point where, today, it now supplies a wide range of Dust and Pollution Control Equipment to manufacturing and processing industries both in the U.K. and 22 countries overseas.

The Company owes its success to skilfully engineered innovative designs, many of which have been patented and are acknowledged as state of the art in the dust control field.

Operating from modern premises in Leicester which houses design offices, administration and manufacture, the Company has made considerable investment in modern Computer Numeric Control equipment to ensure consistent and accurate production of all components to meet the highest quality standards.

What we can offer
J.B.Thorne have the experience and resources to offer a complete service to industry. From initial enquiry and assessment through design, manufacture, installation and commissioning, a whole range of dust and air pollution control equipment is available to solve particular problems and meet individual customers needs.

Also offered is a range of agricultural and other products including equipment to produce dust free animal fodder and a system to remove dust when feeding hay.

We can confidently cope with anything from a small wood sander or metal grinder right up to a complex system cleaning an entire manufacturing or processing plant.

For overseas customers, all electrical equipment and components installed are designed to meet local voltages and conditions
